Fire Suppression

For fire suppression, FM200 or Novec 1230 gas systems automatically detect and extinguish the fire within the data centre, computer room or server room. While other naturally occurring gases can also be considered, these gases offer the most cost effective solution in most cases. Powerworks will advise on the best solution.

We also recommend the installation of a VESDA (very early smoke detection apparatus) to detect any smoke even before a fire occurs.

Any datacentre carries a higher fire risk than other building areas due to the high power usage, and automatically protecting against fire could make the difference between business closure and continuous operation.
